Dante 01

A Neurinos shuttle arrives at Dante 01, bringing Elisa and a new prisoner who woke from hypersleep disoriented. Inside the detention center, six inmates are introduced: César, Lazare, Moloch, Bouddha, Attila, and Raspoutine, alongside the enigmatic Saint-Georges. Tension rises as staff and inmates size up the outsiders and wonder what their presence means for the station's fragile equilibrium.

Charon and Perséphone clash with Elisa over research methods, Perséphone advocating humane treatment while Elisa pushes a DNA-altering nanotech approach. Charon tasks Attila with hacking Elisa's files to learn the full extent of her orders. Attila discovers Elisa is authorized to kill the prisoners if necessary, heightening paranoia and distrust.

Bouddha attempts to strangle Saint-Georges to end his perceived suffering, triggering chaos among the inmates. Gas floods the hold, and Bouddha becomes Elisa's first nanite subject; she injects him and he endures a wave of bonding pain. Saint-Georges then seemingly removes the nanites from Bouddha, and Bouddha recovers, growing wary yet grateful toward him.

Moloch attacks Saint-Georges, unleashing violent infighting among the prisoners. Raspoutine intervenes, causing Moloch to accidentally slit his own throat with the shiv, and gas fills the area as guards rush in. Before the situation is resolved, Elisa injects César with nanites, beginning his dangerous transformation.

Perséphone remains skeptical of Saint-Georges's miracles while César grows fearful of losing authority. Seizing on the moment, César orders Lazare and Moloch to kill Saint-Georges. Saint-Georges is stabbed by Lazare but awakens moments later, healed, and uses Elisa as a hostage to reach the prison quarters.

César endures crippling nanite-induced pain, and Saint-Georges heals him. Attila reveals a plan to destroy them all by crashing the space station into Dante. After a desperate chase, Attila is found dead by hanging in a shaft, leaving the group to confront the looming crisis.

To avert disaster, the staff and prisoners rally to access a manual override hidden under a trapdoor below the prisoner's quarters. Elisa refuses to accompany them inside, while Lazare stays behind to oversee the operation. When the gas is released, it knocks everyone except Lazare unconscious, stalling the rescue attempt.

When the others awaken, they discover Elisa's betrayal and Lazare's coercion of her into the shuttle. Attila's sabotage of the shuttle controls causes it to burn through the planet's atmosphere, thwarting any quick escape. The group realizes that Attila's actions have made survival even more precarious.

With the hatch area compromised, César volunteers to descend into the coolant-filled corridor to reach the control room and reset the system. He emerges horribly burned and dies before he can enter the necessary code, sacrificing himself to avert a planetary catastrophe. The survivors scramble to finish the reset and stabilize the cooling system.

In the epilogue, Saint-Georges exits the station in a space suit and ascends above Dante. Using his powers and the energy creatures within him, he begins terraforming the planet into a livable world. His body disintegrates in space as the transformation completes, leaving the fate of the crew and the new world open to interpretation.
