Razor‑edged suspense thriller. When a woman is found brutally murdered in her New York apartment, suspicion falls on her estranged husband, an ad executive who abruptly leaves town on a cross‑country road trip. He brings along a beautiful bar‑room flirt and a drifter. A detective pursues him, more keen on extorting him than delivering justice.
