Code Name: Wild Geese

DEA agent Fletcher heads the operation to cut off opium supply to the West and secures an alliance with Brenner. Brenner and his partner Charlton back the mission as financiers and facilitators.

Brenner and Charlton recruit Robin Wesley, a grieving father whose son died of heroin addiction, to lead the strike on opium factories in the Golden Triangle. Wesley’s assignment includes assembling mercenaries from around the world, including individuals with checkered pasts.

Wesley's team is composed of mercenaries from various countries, among them 'China' and Klein who have troubled histories. Wesley, still mourning his son, steps into a leadership role for the mission.

The team travels by boat into the Golden Triangle and then downriver toward the jungle. In Hong Kong, Fletcher, Brenner and Charlton wait for updates from their base on the operation’s progress.

After disembarking, the team marches through the jungle and meets Kim and his guerrilla fighters. Kim agrees to guide them to a remote quarry base where they will stage the assault.

Kim’s men along with Klein neutralize a sentry in a watch tower. Arbib and Kowalski rig a rope slide across the quarry’s top to facilitate the impending assault.

Kowalski slides through the communications hut, killing one soldier and capturing another, even as a bamboo splinter impales his arm. He endures the injury to continue the operation.

Arbib drops into the sleeping quarters hut and kills the occupants who awaken and attack. The rest of the team prepares to move deeper into the base.

The remaining commandos descend the quarry sides, shooting any enemies that escape from Kowalski and Arbib. China remains behind to secure the base’s lone helicopter for extraction.

With the base secured, Wesley’s radio confirms the capture of the helicopter and contacts his own base for extraction. The team prepares to depart with their prize.

While Brenner and Charlton golf, Fletcher informs them that Wesley has neutralized the quarry and captured the helicopter. The operation’s local progress reaches the financiers in Hong Kong.

China pilots the helicopter toward the opium manufacturing depot. The depot confirms the arriving chopper by radio and lets it land before the commandos storm the site, killing any enemy soldiers in sight.

Wesley, Arbib and Stone destroy heroin laboratories with C4 while Klein detonates opium container silos with grenades and charges. Stone is wounded, prompting Klein, China and Kim to help him and secure prisoners.

Kim and his men locate prisoners and free them as the operation concludes. A North American woman among the captives behaves bizarrely, and China intervenes, realizing she is a heroin addict with puncture marks on her forearm.

Wesley enters an office, rifles through a safe, and finds a computer disk. He loads it onto a nearby computer to browse its contents, hinting at broader information connected to the mission.
