During World War II, a young man whose father collaborated with the Germans retreats to his grandmother’s house on the Vercors plateau, hoping the conflict will pass. On July 21 1944 German forces overrun the area; forced to flee, he joins a small band of Resistance fighters and civilians, struggling to survive the harsh mountain night for three days.
