Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie

Cheech and Chong set out to siphon gasoline for their neighbor's car, treating it as just another job in a long day of mischief. They joke about their 'mission' as they prepare supplies and scout the neighborhood. The plan kicks off the day with a casual, rule-breaking tone.

Chong searches for a roach and revs up an indoor motorcycle, blasting loud rock that disturbs the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Cheech goes to a movie studio to work, setting up a clash between their carefree lifestyle and the adult world of film. The parallel escapades highlight the film's counterculture energy.

Cheech is fired from the studio for taking a van without permission, a consequence of his casual attitude toward rules. He and Chong decide to seek out Donna, Cheech's on-and-off girlfriend who works as a welfare officer. The moment pushes Cheech toward Donna and into further trouble.

Cheech seduces Donna, despite her objections, and his charm lands her in trouble with her boss. As a result, Cheech and Chong are expelled from the welfare office and the building. They begin plotting new income, even writing songs like Mexican Americans and Beaners.

Cheech answers a call from Donna and sets up a date, telling Chong to scram so he can clean the house and get ready. The phone rings again and Cheech realizes it isn't Donna but Red, his money-strapped cousin. Red asks for help, and Cheech agrees to pick him up.

Chong heads to the hotel where Red is staying and finds him embroiled in a dispute over the room price. Red can't afford the bill and guards his luggage—the boombox, a suitcase, and a 20-pound bag of marijuana. They break into the room and retrieve the luggage, with the receptionist later arrested after cops arrive.

On the corner, a roller-skater invites them to a 'party' that turns out to be a brothel. They cause a ruckus by sharing weed with the workers and peeing in the Jacuzzi, and are kicked out. They play back Red's boombox recording to scare everyone away.

One girl accompanies them to Sunset Boulevard and they end up at a music store on Ventura Boulevard to obtain a Rolls-Royce ride. They light up a spliff in the car and head to a stand-up comedy club, where their jokes escalate tensions with the angry receptionist and a large bouncer. The chaos fuels the night's wild energy.

Later that night, the cops close in as they check out Red's cannabis fields in the countryside. They set off fireworks to escape and are abducted by a UFO along with several cannabis plants. The surreal abduction marks a turning point in their high-adventure journey.

Cheech crashes from excitement, falls asleep, and dreams about the date turning out perfect. He awakens to discover Chong and Red have also been abducted by aliens and returns with a jar of space coke, which Chong insists will blow your head off. The dream blurs into the ongoing chaos.

The space coke sends Cheech into a berserk frenzy, trashing their next-door neighbor's house while Chong chases after him. The high spirals further into surreal chaos as friends and onlookers react. The event seals the film's out-of-control vibe.

Cheech and Chong burst through the neighbor's roof into outer space, reaching the ultimate high as they drift away. Chong drops the space coke back to Earth for others, leading into an animated sequence where they ascend into a giant blunt. The screen ends with the caption 'That's It Man!'
