Carlos, a teenager from a working‑class neighbourhood in Málaga, loses his father in an accident. Pressured by his family to become the new head of household, he refuses the responsibility. To avoid it, he invents a daily lie, dressing in his father’s old suit and claiming to go to a nonexistent job. As his mother demands money, he must sustain the deception, which grows taller yet remains as fragile as a house of cards.
