In 1931 Berlin, a vibrant cabaret scene pulses with life as American chanteuse Sally Bowles (Liza Minnelli) finds herself entwined in a passionate love triangle with British academic Brian Roberts (Michael York), whose own identity remains shrouded in uncertainty.
