In a sunny suburb, a boisterous Jewish mother constantly nags and embarrasses her shy gay teenager, whom she nicknames “Boychick.” At school Boychick obsessively watches a handsome classmate but lacks the courage to act on his feelings. When pop‑star Ashley Hart, his idol, appears, she inspires him with the hip‑strutting confidence he’s been craving.
