Three short films trace young gay men on the brink of adulthood. In “Pool Days,” 17‑year‑old Justin works as an evening lifeguard in Bethesda and, over a summer, accepts his sexuality. “A Friend of Dorothy” follows freshman Winston at NYU, who, with hometown friend Anne, learns to navigate a gay social scene in the city. “The Disco Years” reflects on 1978, when high‑schooler Tom comes out after a mix of joyful and painful encounters.
