At the stroke of midnight Peter Foley learns he can claim a million‑dollar inheritance, but he has no wife to satisfy the condition. To meet the deadline he hires a woman to pose as his spouse, launching a series of comedic mishaps and mysterious twists. If he isn’t married by midnight, the fortune will pass to his uncle, who lives in a reputedly haunted house.
