Marie discovers Sheila alive in a hyperbaric chamber and Charles's corpse with its scalp removed. Thomas arrives, revealing he is in cahoots with his father. They plan to transplant Sheila's brain into Marie, allowing Sheila to live on in Marie's body, as Andreas performs a final craniotomy and removes Marie's brain.
