A town is plagued by a street‑stabbing serial killer. High‑school student Shiori Ayakawa, hoping to become a journalist, investigates and notices a sorrowful female voice at each crime scene. The song matches that of idol Mika Shiratori, who vanished after an accident scarred her face. Driven insane, Mika slit her own mouth and now murders anyone who sees her disfigured grin, exacting revenge on those who shunned her.
