A magician's trick involving sawing a woman in half goes wrong and Matilda is killed. The accident fuels fear and suspicion within the circus, suggesting hidden threats behind the show. The troupe grapples with the sudden loss amid escalating tensions.

During Hawkins' high-wire act, Angela is spotted throwing a knife at him. Hawkins falls onto the bayonets and is killed. The crowd is stunned as the deadly incidents escalate in quick succession.

Angela confesses she was responsible for the murders, attributing it to Monica's absence and inattention during her childhood. She claims the deaths were meant to punish those who consumed Monica's time. Monica is left to grapple with the revelation.

Angela tries to kill Monica but is stopped. While attempting to escape, she is electrocuted by a live wire outside the circus tent during a rainstorm. Monica sobs inconsolably over her daughter's death.
