Miles Hill, a solitary motorbike enthusiast, stumbles upon the damaged A-X-L in the desert. This unexpected encounter sparks an extraordinary friendship as A-X-L's owner-pairing mechanism activates, creating a deep bond between boy and machine.

Miles and A-X-L find shelter in Sara Reyes' isolated art studio. Here, A-X-L provides Miles a crucial device that aids in their pairing process, further deepening the connection between them.
