Seeking to revitalize their church, Pastor John and his wife Betsy make a controversial change to the annual Christmas pageant. This decision sparks outrage from the choir director, Mary Margaret, leading to a boycott. To avoid losing his job and save the church, John disguises himself as an elderly man, attempting to reconcile the generations and win back the choir. However, he uncovers deeper issues within the congregation and must learn to accept those around him or face devastating consequences for his family and the church.
