34-year-old Goyo, former open‑water champion, was unjustly accused of doping in the 57‑km Santa Fe‑Coronda Marathon and withdrew to the desert. Eight years later he returns to reclaim his title and clear his name, confronting past emotions. He enlists pool swimmer Chino, who failed to make the national team, to guide his support boat during the race.
