Vasoula works as secretary for Ms Kleio, a lover of knight novels who lives with butler Aristeidis. While Kleio is away, the couple Popi and sailor Mitsos Bezestainis ask to stay, and Kleio’s return forces Vasoula to present Mitsos as her husband. After Kleio dies, she bequeaths her mansion to Vasoula, naming her “wife of Dimitrios Bezestainis,” which obligates Vasoula to marry Mitsos to claim the estate.
