Ignorance and Want are two grotesque children who emerge from the shadows under the Ghost of Christmas Present. They symbolize the consequences of societal neglect and greed, Ignorance represents the cycle of poverty leading to violence, while Want represents desperation and exploitation. The ghost warns Scrooge that these figures will grow if humanity fails to show compassion.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Show Scrooge his neglected grave bearing his own name, revealing the cold, uncaring future that awaits him if he remains unchanged. This vision terrifies Scrooge into begging for a chance to alter his fate, serving as the pivotal moment that drives his complete transformation.
