The story begins with three sibling ninjas: Rocky, Colt, and Tum-Tum, who are excited about their martial arts journey. Each sibling has a distinct personality, with Rocky aspiring to be a great martial artist, Colt being impulsive, and Tum-Tum showcasing his clever nature amidst his struggles of growing up.

The boys are guided by their grandfather, Mori Shintaro, who was a champion in a prestigious martial arts tournament fifty years prior. His past glories inspire the boys' aspirations and lead to an important trip to Japan where he wishes to recover a treasured dagger.

As the siblings prepare for their trip, Tum-Tum's obsession with sumo wrestlers is highlighted, paralleling his continual craving for food. This humorous fixation provides comic relief before the main adventure unfolds.

Tension builds when at a local museum, a dramatic theft occurs. The elusive thief, Koga, who is revealed to be Mori's past rival, escapes with a priceless sword using a hang glider, adding urgency to the boys' mission.

Back at home, the boys attempt to play baseball, but distractions abound. Rocky is sidetracked by a young woman, Tum-Tum can't resist snacks, and Colt's hot temper leads to a brawl, ultimately postponing their travel plans to Japan.

After Mori travels to Japan, he unintentionally brings Tum-Tum's luggage instead of his own due to a friend's clumsiness. Once in Japan, he suffers an accident when Glam's gang side-swipes his taxi, resulting in the loss of his possessions.

Despite the chaos, Mori arrives at the hospital to deliver astonishing news: the boys now possess the valuable dagger. This revelation prompts the siblings to embark on an unexpected adventure to ensure they deliver the dagger to the Grand Master.
