As the festive season draws near, James and Hayley, who have remained a couple since the events of the earlier movie, find themselves invited to a holiday retreat in the breathtaking Austrian Alps by their families—the Hugheses and the Taylors. However, trouble brews when Hayley’s father, ever the maverick, insists on seeking unconventional lodging, much to the dismay of James’s family.

Upon landing at the airport, the families’ shuttle services become hilariously intertwined, ultimately leaving the working-class Taylors at the lavish Hugheses’ resort, while the Hugheses themselves are accommodated in a modest hostel. Amidst the chaos, Hayley discovers an engagement ring that she presumes to be intended for her from James (though it actually belongs to his father), leading her to mistakenly believe he is about to propose.

After a night marked by this unexpected arrangement, the families finally gather at the resort and embark on a thrilling skiing adventure. Eager to keep pace with James’s childhood friend Bea, Hayley finds herself in over her head, resorting back to the gondola as she watches James and Bea expertly carve their way down the snowy slopes.
