In Madrid’s School of Bullfighting, children and adolescents aged eight to sixteen gather after school or work to study the art of Cúchares, or Torear. Their ambition is not fame or a farm but to face a bull, fully aware of the mortal risk their scarred, retired teachers constantly stress. A non‑exploitative nude bullfighting scene underscores the youngsters’ vulnerability in the arena.
