In 1948 Venezuela three boys named Victorino are born: Pérez, a mulatto son of poor Lucía; Perdomo, son of a middle‑class communist; and Peralta, from a bourgeois family. On his 18th birthday Pérez escapes prison with a fake rage attack, while Peralta flaunts a new car. Perdomo receives a young woman and later joins bushwhackers planning a bank robbery. Pérez spirals into robbery, murder and affairs as his father tries to intervene. The film follows their intertwined paths of crime, class tension, and lost innocence.
