Bob, a mischievous traveler, sails to New York with his girlfriend and proposes marriage. During the voyage he pranks the captain, passengers and his future father‑in‑law. When they dock, the captain and father‑in‑law retaliate, detaining Bob at customs for hours. He finally meets his girlfriend’s father, who remains angry.
