Nineteen‑year‑old Dan departs his home after a heated argument with his father. While walking a country road he encounters a cash‑strapped traveling theater troupe, where he becomes enamored with the young actress Pia. Together they set off, crossing paths with an eclectic cast—a wandering vagabond, a kind‑hearted vicar, and a jaded adventurer—each adding color to their journey.
