The second part of Patrice Chérau’s Bayreuth Ring presents a radical re‑imagining of Die Walküre. Staged for the centenary marking the 100th anniversary of the Ring’s completion, the production stars Donald McIntyre as Wotan, Peter Hofmann as Siegmund and Gweneth Jones as Brünnhilde, with Pierre Boulez conducting the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra.
