In 1937, Adelaide and Virgínia's lives intersected as a German family sought refuge in Brazil, escaping the persecution of Jews. They forged a remarkable bond, initially as doctor and patient for five years, then as colleagues for over three decades. Their collaboration was instrumental in establishing and popularizing psychoanalysis in Brazil, challenging societal norms and prejudices along the way.
