At Hollywood’s Trocadero, owner Eddie LeBaron shares the club’s history, and the columnist hears top bands, notably Bob Chester’s swing group—formed in 1935 after work with Ben Pollack and Ben Bernie—and vocalist Ida James, who opens with “Shoo Shoo Baby.”
