After seeing Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot, a teenager becomes obsessed with acting. Rejected for her crooked teeth, she sells beer on a train and writes to Billy Wilder hoping for a role. At the station she befriends a cinematographer. When she frees a goldfish from a bottle, she wishes success for her friends; it comes true and Wilder calls.
