Riccardo, a former radical who spent five years in exile in South America, returns home to find his comrades have either abandoned their revolutionary ideals or turned to drugs. The cause they once fought for has collapsed, leaving society on the brink of near‑anarchy and forcing Riccardo to confront a world that no longer resembles his vision.
