Simon, a struggling actor, witnesses a murder but cannot identify the killer. Desperate for fame, he falsely claims to have seen the murderer, drawing media attention. The real killer soon marks Simon as his next target. Jeanne, an aspiring actress who has long admired him, steps in to protect him, leading to a tense cat‑and‑mouse chase.
