Lorraine, reluctantly caring for her boyfriend who has colon cancer, encounters Bertrand during one of their visits. Their chance meeting leads to coffee, then to Lorraine offering to drive Bertrand to the station, and they gradually find comfort and connection amid their shared grief and uncertainty.
