Alex, a 43-year-old tow truck driver, lives a life of few responsibilities under the strict guidance of his mother, Antoinette, who runs a car repair garage. She envisions him taking over the business, but Alex struggles to meet her expectations. After helping a stranded woman, he finds himself unexpectedly spending the night at her home. The following morning, she has mysteriously disappeared, leaving Alex to care for her three children.
