A Nazi‑produced propaganda documentary set in the Czech town of Terezín, portraying the so‑called Theresienstadt ghetto as a pleasant refuge. Its purpose was to convince the world that Jews were not suffering in concentration camps. After filming ended, the majority of the Jewish participants, including director Kurt Gerron, were deported to Auschwitz and murdered.
