In Paris, Commissioner Stan Jalard and Inspector Simon Lecache plan to quit the police for a life in the West Indies. At a nightclub they see Schneider, a feared gangster, who kills Simon at close range. Stan stays to avenge his partner and protect Simon’s son, Christian. Two years later, he learns Schneider has resurfaced in Paris, sparking a hunt.
