Yuki Onozaki, a college student, returns to Kyoto for summer and is raped by her mother’s lover. Traumatized, she quits school, falls into a seedy life, and meets gang leader Kiyoshi Oba, who offers fleeting comfort. She begins to heal when she meets architect Yoichiro Honma, but his French lover Sandra reappears, causing turmoil. Yoichiro decides to marry Yuki, yet their relationship continues to face trials.
