Bob Letellier, a handsome, affluent science student, meets Alain, a cynical and amoral young man who draws him into the existentialist salons of Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés. Through Alain, Bob is invited to a decadent gathering where he begins a relationship with Clo, a wealthy heiress, exposing the moral ambiguities that drive the story.
