Franco Elica, melancholy film director, leaves Rome for a southern beach. He meets a wedding‑videographer and is hired to document the arranged marriage of a prince’s daughter, Boda. The prince seeks money, the groom is dependent; Elica falls for Boda and tries to dissuade her. As rehearsals proceed, his reality and imagination blur, leaving him questioning his sanity while the prince insists he remain the wedding director.
