Based on Otfried Preußler’s beloved books, the story follows the mischievous robber Hotzenplotz in a Bavarian village. After he steals Kasperl’s grandmother’s coffee grinder, the optimistic sergeant Dimpfelmoser doubts the case, prompting Kasperl and his friend Seppel to hunt the thief themselves. Using a clever trick they locate Hotzenplotz’s cave, but are captured, and Kasperl is handed over to the eccentric magician Zwackelmann.
