Owen’s suspicions about his in-laws being involved in a bank robbery turn out to be true when Billy and Lilly McDermott, Parker’s parents, are revealed as the notorious bank robbers known as the “Ghost Bandits.” They had been living in hiding after pulling off a big heist, aiming to retire, but when a criminal colleague named Rehan demands her share of their stolen money, they are forced to return to crime. The story reveals that the McDermotts had faked their lives in the Amazon to evade the law, but in reality, they were still running from their past and in contact with Rehan.

As things escalate, Parker is kidnapped by Rehan’s gang, prompting Owen to switch from cautious observer to active protector. Determined to save Parker, Owen joins forces with his “criminal” in-laws, and they plan one final daring heist—a fake robbery of the Atlas Reserve Bank, where Owen poses as a manager to get inside and steal back the stolen money. What follows is a chaotic but ultimately successful scheme where Owen outsmarts Rehan and her gang, planting the money back in the vault and faking his own involvement. In the chaos, Owen accidentally shoots Rehan dead, ending her threat permanently.

After securing the money and ensuring Parker’s safety, Owen pretends to have been inside the vault the entire time, tricking the police and Rehan’s gang. Billy and Lilly are caught, choosing to accept their punishment, though they are present at the wedding thanks to Owen and the police’s arrangement. The film wraps up with Owen and Parker getting married, celebrating with their family. In a clever ending twist, Owen secretly helps his parents-in-law escape by giving piggyback keys hidden inside a piece of cake, showing he’s willing to bend the rules to protect his loved ones. Ultimately, the film ends on a light-hearted note, emphasizing Owen’s growth from a cautious man to someone who will do anything for the people he loves, even if it means bending the law.
