Set in a quiet Alpine village in the early 1930s, the Roth family enjoys a peaceful existence until the rise of the Nazi regime shatters their world. As the political climate deepens, the family becomes divided, and Martin Breitner, a close family friend, finds himself swept into the turmoil.
