This satirical film humorously depicts the events surrounding the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which erupted after the acquittal of police officers charged with beating Rodney King. The movie recreates scenes captured on television and offers a darkly comedic skewering of the police, media, and the city’s residents. It provocatively examines the social and racial tensions that fueled the unrest and its aftermath.
