The film follows a family determined to curb the extravagant, hedonistic habits of their patriarch, Alfredo. To force him to tighten his purse strings, they concoct a ruse, convincing him that his massive fortune has vanished. Their deception spawns comic mishaps while exposing the family’s underlying loyalties and the challenges of taming a lover of excess.
