During a depression, two ronin hatch a scheme, recruiting a country man and training him to pose as Ise Isenokami, the era’s finest swordsman. Acting as his followers, they visit dojos where the name Isenokami scares masters into paying them off and denying his entry. The ruse collapses when the impostor rescues Oyae, the real Isenokami’s daughter, and finally confronts the true master.
