Svend Aage, an aging inmate, trusts his wife’s reassuring claim that their son Max is thriving outside, oblivious to his father's imprisonment. The fragile routine shatters when a new prisoner is escorted to the gate, receiving the most severe sentence ever handed out for violent, drug‑related crime—and the inmate is Max himself.
