Captain Maurice de Florimont, a French Army intelligence officer, is seized by Arab nationalists during an espionage mission, and his lover Diane Duval is captured too. Both endure torture by Kassim Ben Ali, the rebels’ leader, yet they refuse to reveal any secrets. French forces storm the fortress, rescue the prisoners and kill Kassim.
