Mrs. Hellertz worries over her son Aage, who despite a steady job and generous family support squanders his earnings on nightlife debauchery. He incurs heavy debts and becomes entangled with a ruthless loan shark intent on seizing Mrs. Hellertz’s wealth. Complicating matters, Aage falls for the loan shark’s attractive daughter.
