It isn’t death that torments me—only the moments going by. After leaving the army, a hopeful young man takes a job at a butcher’s shop, earning the owner’s trust. When the butcher dies, he becomes entangled in a painful love triangle: he falls for the butcher’s daughter while also beginning an affair with the widowed wife, leaving him torn between the two.
