During the early Middle Ages, two Christian knights journey to a remote, pagan village nestled high in the mountains, intending to convert its inhabitants. Despite differing beliefs, the knights develop a close, father-son bond while traveling and integrating into the community. Their faith and relationship are challenged as they encounter deeply ingrained traditions and escalating conflicts between love and hate, reason and violence. The experience tests their convictions and forces many to confront difficult choices.
