Set in 1898, composer Sid Barnett persuades his beloved Adeline, a popular beer‑garden singer, to headline his new Broadway operetta, provoking jealousy in Elysia, the former star. As rehearsals progress, Sid grows uneasy when Adeline spends more time with the charismatic Major Day, endangering his project and romance.
