Advised to take eight days of rest, he instead requests leave and is granted permission to return to duty on the morning of the eighth day. During his journey home, he assists various people and inadvertently misses his train. A news reporter covers his story online, but fails to credit him. The narrative then follows Shankar's determined efforts to reach his home and return to his military duties within a very limited timeframe.
